Ben Hur Live, O2 Arena, London

This job was an epic, in both scale and execution. Against a background of skeletal scenery designed by Mark Fisher and Ray Winkler, the lighting system allowed the empty arena to be transformed from the shores of Galilee to a stormy sea and finally to the Coliseum, scene of the dramatic chariot races. Sadly the production closed before it was seen in more than half a dozen venues.
