Madejski Garden - V&A Museum

Kim Willkie completely transformed the rather musty central courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Our treatment of the space called for the lighting of the facades that surrounded the space rather than concentrating on the garden itself. This gave the public an opportunity to enjoy the building in a way that had never been seen before, revealing the delicate filigree of the window design. It also allowed the lit windows to form the theatrical backdrop to the reflecting pool and glowing planters in the centre.
