Patrick Woodroffe has been responsible for the lighting for many of the top names in the music world. These include, among others - ABBA, AC/DC, Andrea Boccelli, Bob Dylan, The Bee Gees, Bjork, Cher, The Pet Shop Boys, Bryan Ferry, Depeche Mode, Donna Summer, Elton John, Garth Brooks, Genesis, Erasure, Mike Oldfield, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, M. People, Rod Stewart, Sarah Brightman, Seal, Simply Red, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones.
 
In musical theatre he has lit The Millennium Dome Show, the martial arts spectacular, Shaolin, Wheel of Life, the long-running, Tribute To The Blues Brothers, Godspell at the Chichester Festival Theatre and the dance shows of Michael Flatley (Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flame), Joaquin Cortez (Gypsy Passion) and Burn The Floor. He also lit the English National Ballets' Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall and the film of Cirque du SoleilŐs Quidam in Amsterdam.
 
He has lit many international music festivals and television events, including the Hollywood Rock and Rock in Rio festivals in Brazil, The Montreux Jazz Festival, The Tokyo Music Festival, The Les Miserables 10 Year Anniversary Concert, The Brit Awards, The Freddie Mercury Tribute, The Princes Trust concerts, Songs + Visions from Wembley Stadium, Guitar Legends in Seville, The Bob Dylan Tribute from Madison Square Gardens in New York, The Great Music Experience in Nara, Japan and the Amnesty Tribute Concert in Paris.
 
He has lit fashion shows for Jasper Conran, Betty Jackson and John Richmond, industrial presentations for Mercedes-Benz, Bordeaux Wines and Pepsi International, where he lit the Concorde at Gatwick Airport. He has taught and lectured on the subject of lighting in many countries, and his work was featured at an exhibition at the Musée Moderne in Paris - Le Jardin Musical.
 
His credits for classical music include The Prague Heritage Concert at Prague Castle with Sir George Solti and the Prague Symphony Orchestra; Chess -The Concert with the LSO; The Planets multi-media concerts with The London Philharmonia, Handel in the Park with Andre Previn and The LPO; Music from Outer Space with Zubin Mehta and The LA Philharmonic in Los Angeles; Casta Diva at the Herodian Theatre in Athens and the opening of the Globe Stadium in Stockholm with Esa-Pekka Salonen and The Swedish Radio Orchestra.
 
In addition to his work in live performance he has been responsible for some important architectural lighting schemes, including the temporary lighting of La Grande Cascade restaurant in Paris and Mortons restaurant in Los Angeles, the gardens at Highgrove House for HRH The Prince of Wales, The Ukrainian Institute in New York and the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park for Vanity Fair. He has designed permanent installations at The Millennium Dome, Prague Castle for President Vaclav Havel, the Schlumberger Headquarters in Vienna and Yo! Sushi, the high-tech sushi restaurant in Soho.
